In the following privacy policy, we set out which personal data is collected and processed when you use the Heidi Wallet app and for what purpose.

Data processing

The retrieval of data from the app backend may be logged for the purpose of maintaining information and service security. Technical data about the user's device such as operating system version, app version, IP address etc. is transmitted and stored each time data is retrieved.

Purposes

The app backend is used to receive messages from previously executed requests via an end-to-end encrypted channel. The app and the data processing it receives have the sole purpose of enabling users to

• receive and store existing verifiable evidence,
• to be able to provide verifiable evidence in response to a request for information and
• to be able to check the proofs for authenticity, integrity and validity.

Data transfer

The provision of messages from the information systems or their retrieval by the apps is carried out via Microsoft Azure servers located in Switzerland. When a connection is established to retrieve these messages, the following technical data is passed on to Microsoft Azure:

• IP address
• Operating system version
• App version

The integrated QR code scanner (or a URL that opens the app) can be used to receive new verifiable evidence or information requests from any external server. When a connection is established to these servers, the same system data (IP address, operating system version, app version) is transmitted. If the user decides to release personal data in previously received/saved verifications when requesting information, this data will also be transmitted.

Duration of storage

We only store personal data for as long as is necessary,

• to fulfill the above-mentioned purpose;
• to comply with our legal obligations.

Data security

Ubique Innovation AG takes appropriate security precautions of a technical nature (e.g. encryption, logging, access controls and restrictions, data backup, IT and network security solutions, etc.) and of an organizational nature (e.g. instructions to employees, confidentiality agreements, checks, etc.) to protect data from unauthorized access, loss and misuse.

Changes

Ubique Innovation AG may amend this privacy policy at any time without prior notice. The current published version or the version valid for the respective period shall apply.
